# Indigene Wines > Indigene Wines is a Bucharest-based curated shop for Romanian wines made from native (indigenous) grape varieties. We specialize in the 14 grapes that grow only — or best — in Romania: Fetească Neagră, Crâmpoșie, Negru de Drăgășani, Tămâioasă Românească, Grasă de Cotnari, Zghihara, and others. We ship internationally from Bucharest. We were founded in 2016. The company is registered as S.C. Cold Duck S.R.L. (CUI 36438827, EU VAT RO36793721). ## About Romanian wine Romania is one of Europe's oldest wine-growing countries, with eight distinct wine regions stretching from the Black Sea to the Carpathians and down to the Danube sands.
